Hamilton Electric Silver Dial Meteor

$2,195

Here's your chance to own a FULLY SERVICED (ultrasonic wash, rinse, and lubrication) Hamilton Electric Meteor watch.  Pictured in Rene Rondeau's book "The Watch Of The Future" on pages 138 and 139, it was released in June 1960 with an original price of $125 with metal band, and $110 with leather strap.  It is quadruple signed on the dial, case, movement, and crown.  It runs great and keeps time to well under 30 seconds variation per day, and has a brand new battery just installed.  The hack function works properly, and the watch starts right up each time the crown is pushed in from the setting position to the running position.

The Meteor is one of the rarest of the Hamilton Electrics, with an estimated production of about 3000.  It exemplifies the futuristic styling philosophy of Richard Arbib.  The "Space Race" was on, and what better to represent the future than a watch named Meteor with a tail trailing off at 7 o'clock.  It has just had a BRAND NEW OLD STOCK D-PIN installed in the balance, so it will run virtually as it did from the factory.   It's really a must have for the serious Hamilton Electric collection.
