Sicura Digital Read Manual Winding Watch
Here's your chance to own a Sicura Digital Read Manual Wind watch that winds, sets, and runs great, and keeps excellent time. The date function works well, changing each night at midnight. The hours are marked by the orange color in the hour windows. The hour windows are used every six hours rather than every 12 hours, so the hour window shown as orange in the photos would either mark 4 pm, 10pm, 4am or 10am. That sounds a little complicated, but when setting the watch, use the date flip as the marker of midnight. One then advances the time using that as a reference. It's then pretty easy to read the time using the watch. Examples in this condition don't show up often, so should not be overlooked.
As an interesting side note, Sicura actually saved Breitling. In 1978, Breitling closed it's doors, and in 1979, Sicura secured the rights to the Breitling and Navitimer names. Sicura breathed new life into Breitling, and over the next few years the name Sicura was phased out, and the company became Breitling.
