Hamilton Nautilus 403 Pocket Watch
Offered is this FULLY SERVICED (ultrasonic wash, rinse, and lubrication) Hamilton Electric Nautilus 403 pocket watch. Pictured in René Rondeau's book "The Watch Of The Future" on page181, it was released in December 1965 with an original price of $130.00. It is signed on the dial, case, movement, and crown. It runs great and keeps time to well under 30 seconds variation per day and has a brand new battery just installed. As a plus, it has had a BRAND NEW OLD STOCK D-PIN installed in the balance, so it will run virtually as it did from the factory. The hack function works properly, and the watch starts right up each time the crown is pushed in from the setting position to the running position.
The Nautilus 403 was Hamilton's only release of an electric pocket watch. It was not popular at the time, so only around 500 were made, making it an extremely rare find. It would make a great addition to a Hamilton Electric collection. A uniform texture engraving has been done to the back of the watch at some point, likely to cover up an engraving, unfortunately.
