Hamilton Electronic Swiss Dynotron Armco Stainless Steel Watch NOS
Offered is this New Old Stock Hamilton Electronic Armco Stainless Steel watch. Pictured in René Rondeau's book "The Watch Of The Future" on page 198, it was released as a presentation watch for Armco Stainless Steel Corporation. The early ones used the Hamilton Electric 505 movement, but later, Hamilton began using the Swiss ESA 9154 Dynotron movements with date feature in these watches. This example appears to have never been worn. It is signed on the dial, case, movement, crown, strap, and buckle. It runs great and keeps time to well under 30 seconds variation per day and has a brand new battery just installed. The hack function works properly, and the watch starts right up each time the crown is pushed in from the setting position to the running position.
This is an unusual Hamilton Electric presentation watch in which the company's own product was used in the production of the watch. Armco's stainless steel was used for the solid stainless steel case and solid stainless steel logo on the dial. It is a unique piece of Hamilton Electric history and should not be overlooked.
