Hamilton Electric Titan Watch Original Black Dial
Offered is this FULLY SERVICED (ultrasonic wash, rinse, and lubrication) Hamilton Electric Titan. Pictured in René Rondeau's book "The Watch Of The Future" on page 192, it was released in December of 1957 with an original price of $110.00 with metal band, and $95.00 with leather strap. The watch is signed on the dial, case, movement, and crown. It runs great and keeps time to well under 30 seconds variation per day. It has a brand new battery just installed. The hack function works properly, and the watch starts right up each time the crown is pushed in from the setting position to the running position.
The Titan was released as the less expensive gold filled version of the 14K Van Horn. It also differed in dial markings as well as gold content. Almost all Titan watches had embossed (stamped in) markers rather than applied gold markers. Only the earliest examples had applied markers as this original black finish dial example has. It is quite uncommon.
