Hamilton Electric Summit B 14K White Gold Diamond Dial Watch
Offered is this FULLY SERVICED (ultrasonic wash, rinse, and lubrication) Hamilton Electric 14K White Gold Diamond Dial Summit B Masterpiece watch. Pictured in René Rondeau's book "The Watch Of The Future" on page 191, it was released in October 1960 with an original price of $175. It is signed on the dial, case, movement, and crown. It runs great and keeps time to well under 30 seconds variation per day and has a brand new battery just installed. The hack function works properly, and the watch starts right up each time the crown is pushed in from the setting position to the running position.
The White Gold Version of the Summit B was never catalogued, and was made only on special order for corporate awards. Examples in 14K Yellow Gold with 12-diamond dials have surfaced that were corporate awards as well, but this 12-diamond dial 14K White example is the only one known to exist, so it is exceedingly rare, and possibly one of a kind. It has just had a BRAND NEW OLD STOCK D-PIN installed in the balance, so it will run virtually as it did from the factory.
