Hamilton Electric RR Special 52 Watch

$895

Offered is this mint Fully Serviced (ultrasonic wash, rinse, and lubrication) Hamilton Electric Gold Filled RR Special 52 watch. Pictured in René Rondeau's book "The Watch Of The Future" on page 189, it was released in November of 1963 with original price of $110 with leather strap and $120 with metal bracelet. It is signed on the dial, case, movement, and crown. It runs great and keeps time to well under 30 seconds variation per day and has a brand new battery just installed. The hack function works properly, and the watch starts right up each time the crown is pushed in from the setting position to the running position. As a plus, it has the original mint/NOS Z-PIN in the balance, so it will run virtually as it did from the factory.

The RR Special 52 had an estimated production of 3700, compared to an estimated production of the 50 and 51 models of 23,800 combined, so it is a much more rare model. This example was gifted to an employee of the L&N Railroad Co. dating it to 1968.
