Hamilton Electric Nautilus 501 Stainless Steel New Old Stock Watch
Offered is this New Old Stock FULLY SERVICED (ultrasonic wash, rinse, and lubrication) Hamilton Electric Stainless Steel Nautilus 501 watch. Pictured in René Rondeau's book "The Watch Of The Future" on page 183, it was released in December of 1962 with original price of $89.50. It is signed on the dial, case, movement, and crown. It runs great and keeps time to well under 30 seconds variation per day and has a brand new battery just installed. The hack function works properly, and the watch starts right up each time the crown is pushed in from the setting position to the running position. As a plus, it has the original price tag on the back, and has the original mint condition Z-Pin contact on the balance, so it will run virtually as it did when it came originally from the factory.
It's also interesting that the case style has the curved lugs like a Nautilus 502 or Skip Jack, but it may have been the case style available when the order was placed, so sent in place of a standard 501 with straight lugs.
