Hamilton Electric Meteor & Original Bracelet
Here's your chance to own a FULLY SERVICED (ultrasonic wash, rinse, and lubrication) Hamilton Electric Meteor watch. Pictured in René Rondeau's book "The Watch Of The Future" on pages 138 and 139, it was released in June 1960 with an original price of $125 with metal band and $110 with leather strap. It is quadruple signed on the dial, case, movement, and crown. It runs great and keeps time to well under 30 seconds variation per day and has a brand new battery just installed. The hack function works properly, and the watch starts right up each time the crown is pushed in from the setting position to the running position.
The Meteor is one of the rarest of the Hamilton Electrics, with an estimated production of about 3000. It exemplifies the futuristic styling philosophy of Richard Arbib. The "Space Race" was on, and what better to represent the future than a watch named Meteor with a tail trailing off at 7 o'clock. This example has the added bonus of the hard to find Hamilton Original Bracelet that is plenty long. It's really a must have for the serious Hamilton Electric collection.
