Hamilton Electric Converta II Watch
Offered is this FULLY SERVICED (ultrasonic wash, rinse, and lubrication) Hamilton Electric Stainless Converta II watch. Pictured in René Rondeau's book "The Watch Of The Future" on page 178, it was released in August of 1958 with original price of $130 with metal band and $125 with leather strap.
The Converta II is distinguished by its 14K solid yellow gold bezel and is quite scarce.
It is signed on the dial, case, movement, and crown. It runs great and keeps time to well under 30 seconds variation per day. It has a brand new battery just installed. The hack function works properly, and the watch starts right up each time the crown is pushed in from the setting position to the running position. As a plus, it has been upgraded to a 505 movement, and had a NEW OLD STOCK D-PIN installed in the balance, so it will run virtually as it did from the factory.
