Hamilton Electric Polaris II Award Watch 14K With Original Box

Offered is this FULLY SERVICED (ultrasonic wash, rinse, and lubrication) Solid 14K Gold Hamilton Electric Polaris II watch & Original Box. Pictured in René Rondeau's book "The Watch Of The Future" on page 152, it was released in February of 1965 with an original price of $150.00. It is signed on the dial, case, movement, and crown. It runs great and keeps time to well under 30 seconds variation per day and has a brand new battery just installed. The hack function works properly, and the watch starts right up each time the crown is pushed in from the setting position to the running position.

The Polaris II is much more scarce than the original Polaris, with an estimated production of only about 1000 total. This is an excellent example with a fine case and original dial. As a plus, it has had a NEW OLD STOCK D-PIN installed in the balance, so it will run virtually as it did from the factory. This particular model has a dedication dating the watch to 1966, and the name on the outer box matches to the name on the dedication.
