The case, markers, and hands have all been rhodium plated. Rhodium holds the distinction of being the world's most expensive precious metal and is extremely hard and durable. It was made specifically to be easily distinguished from an authentic Pacermatic. The original Pacermatic watches used a 667 movement, two tone case with specific serial number runs, gold markers, gold hands and silver dial. This example differs in each of these criteria in order to differentiate it from an authentic Pacermatic. The hands even have skeleton inserts to distinguish them from the original.
