Hamilton Asymmetric Lord Lancaster C Watch Circa 1962
Offered is this great looking asymmetric Hamilton Lord Lancaster "C" watch that winds, sets, and runs great, and keeps excellent time. It is the Diamond Dial White Gold Filled version of the Blade, and is among the handful of non-electric asymmetric watches that Hamilton made. It is thin along the right side, and bottom, with a thin lug matching the bottom right at the top left, and thick along the top and left side, with thick lugs at the top right, and bottom left.
It was first catalogued in 1962, and sold for $125.00. As a rule, Hamilton made conservative watches for a conservative clientele. Asymmetric mechanical watches are therefore rather rare from Hamilton, and are great for collectors. Not only is the case shape uncommon, but "Hamilton" is placed at the 5 o'clock position on the dial.
