Hamilton Electric Summit B 14K Gold Watch

$995

Offered is this FULLY SERVICED (ultrasonic wash, rinse, and lubrication) Hamilton Electric 14K Gold Summit B watch. Pictured in René Rondeau's book "The Watch Of The Future" on page 191, it was released in October 1960 with an original price of $175. It is signed on the dial, case, movement, and crown. It runs great and keeps time to well under 30 seconds variation per day and has a brand new battery just installed. The hack function works properly, and the watch starts right up each time the crown is pushed in from the setting position to the running position.

This example has an employee dedication engraved on the back to a Union Carbide (known as National Carbon Company at that time) employee dated 1969. Interestingly, Hamilton partnered with National Carbon Company in development of the energy cells used in the Hamilton Electrics, making for an interesting tie between the two companies.

It has just had a BRAND NEW OLD STOCK D-PIN installed in the balance, so it will run virtually as it did from the factory.
