Bulova Accutron "Accuquartz" 14K Solid Gold
This is a Rare Bulova Accuquartz that sets and runs great, and it has a brand new battery just installed. It keeps excellent time and the day/date feature at 3 works correctly. The 2242 marked the end of the Accutron movement in the early 70s. This model is from circa 1973 as denoted by the case number N3. The tuning forks vibrated only to drive the index mechanism. The rate was controlled by quartz circuitry in the module on the left side of the movement. It is five times signed on the dial, movement, crown, case, and band, so it's all Accutron. It's a great piece of history marking the beginning of the Quartz Revolution.
