Hamilton Electric 505C Calendar PROTOTYPE Watch

$3,995

Offered is this Super Rare Hamilton Electric PROTOTYPE 505C CALENDAR watch. Pictured in René Rondeau's book "The Watch Of The Future" on pages 91-92, it was the prototype of the 507 Prototype that was never released.

This 505C differed in that it did not have a separate quick set feature for the date. This example may have been one of the 505C's that was used to add that feature for the 507, because it does have a quick set feature like the 507. Neither the 505C or 507 ever went to production, and the 505C is much more rare than the 507.

This model runs and keeps excellent time, and all functions work properly.

The watch window moves and follows the date until it flips at midnight. It is interesting that with this feature, it can actually be told whether it is am or pm. For instance, since as pictured the 28th is on the lower portion of the window, you can surmise that it is 10:10 pm rather than am.
