Hamilton Electric Saturn Watch Yellow Gold Filled with Original Finish Black Dial

$1,495

Offered is this FULLY SERVICED (ultrasonic wash, rinse, and lubrication) Hamilton Electric Saturn watch. Pictured in René Rondeau's book "The Watch Of The Future" on page 153, it was released in June of 1960 with an original price of $115.00. It is signed on the dial, case, crown, and movement.  It runs great and keeps time to well under 30 seconds variation per day and has a brand new battery just installed. As a plus, it has had a NEW OLD STOCK D-PIN installed in the balance, so it will run virtually as it did from the factory. The hack function works properly, and the watch starts right up each time the crown is pushed in from the setting position to the running position.

The Saturn is a rare Hamilton Electric with an estimated production of only 2,900. Compare this with it's "older brother," the Spectra, with a production of around 10,400. The dials on the Saturn are really an eye catcher in the light. The lines radiating upward and outward from the 6 position are really quite stunning in person. This example has a rare Original Finish Black Dial.
